Saw it on the tarmac at Houston International some years back. God, what a monster! I had read recently that Richard Branson is going to underwrite either the restoration of this plane or the second unfinished airframe. Good on him.

What a beautiful airplane and a blessing to the many around the world that she helped with her shipments of food, fresh water and medical supplies. She was a product of the Ukraine but her service to humanity showed that in the time of need, there are no borders. What a shame that she will never see the clouds again.
